6. Raw Edge Cogged Automotive (Laminated)

The moulded raw edge cogged belts are having unusual features, such as high power transmission, negligible stretch (no re-tensioning), greater flexibility, proven reliability and economic, extremely transmits high power even in small pulleys at high speed. These kinds of belts are, specially built up with heat & pre-stretched (pexual) stiff polyester cabled cord, which is dipped with a special bonding solution not to peel off from the high hardness polychlororine compound. This gives maximum resistance to slippage and allows an initial start-up clutching action to eliminate power spikes. The cog design helps optimum flexibility and allowing cool air between the pulleys, thus maintaining a minimum heat built up. Generally raw edge cogged automotive belts give higher belt life approximately 300% than the wrapped belts.
